En attendant… wonders about how delicate and important is the relationship between “being" a scientific community and "participating" to the life of a scientific community.
En attendant… is a cycle of international seminars. A cloistered experience. To be together, with a high level of focusing.
En attendant… aims to prepare the academic community and its members for competition at the international conferences of leading international scientific societies. A year-round 365 days.
En attendant… is based on the awareness of how complex the relationship between means and ends always is: in the history of philosophy as well as in the theories and practices of Law and Organizing. When “being" a scientific community, gives weight to the importance of the processes that engenders research products.
En attendant… believes that the internationalization of research is both an object and a method and pays great attention to the processes (how-to-do), as well as on the results and performances (what to do/get). When "participating" to the life of a scientific community means constructing-togheter significant research products that represent effectively the result of an underlying research endeavor.
En attendant... sessions, We as puntOorg do not use to "defend our paper". We strongly believe that a researcher should know how to listen critically, and after having listened to others, going on "work on it". Doing exactly this, standing by and "working on it" is, nowadays, perhaps the missing piece among adults in permanent competition... en attendant.
En attendant… provides the opportunity for participants to publish their work in progress in pIJ.
En attendant... is a project designed and developed by Luigi Maria Sicca and carried out twice a year togheter with Edoardo Mollona and Luca Zan within puntOorg International Research Network.

According to the friendly approach that always characterises puntOorg projects, we open to those who want to join us, putting themselves at stake on the importance of "how to do", before and perhaps more than "what to do".

With this 11th edition, we also intend to work on the comments received from anonymous reviewers for each paper, in order to help scholars to give back the best possible answers. But also to have some fun. Because the double-blind review sometimes allows that: it's fun. The En attendant project is going on since 2015 so far and the next meeting will be held at the University of Bologna on January 12, 2018.
Some of the paper presented in Bologna will be firstly discussed with a community of peers, and then will be submitted to the most important international conferences in management.
We continue the project en attendant EURAM, started in 2015 (whose previous steps are shown below), with a new step.
The next meeting of en attendant EURAM is planned at the University of Bologna on December 9.
Some of the papers that will be presented at EURAM conference 2017 in Glasgow on 21, 22, 23 and 24 June, within the Standing Track entitled Power, Resistance and Critical Management, will be discussed in depth within the community of peers, during the next meeting in Bologna.
We, as puntOorg, do believe that participating in the life of an international scientific society such as EURAM, means not only presenting and discussing our papers at the conference which takes place every year but also engaging with its research community in a deeper and more meaningful way. The conference presentations is, for us, only the last act of a longer academic process. And since working on processes (how to do) rather than only on outputs is the heart of puntOorg project, we have done (and are doing) something more. After the first “en attendant Euram” meeting (see the post below), we organised a second meeting on Friday, December 11, 2015, from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm, at the Department of Management DISA University of Bologna. Once again, colleagues from various institutions participated in an open forum to discuss each other’s projects, ideas and research.
Given the numerous submissions received at the Euram Conference 2015 in Warsaw, the track was made standing, which gave us an opportunity to develop our project and extend our research collaborations. After the success of the CFP (see the relevant track information in the post published below, in the "Conferences" section of our website), we worked to refine our sensmaking and nuances regarding the themes of our topics, so we started a cycle of seminars to share content and potential developments for our EURAM track en ettendent the next Euram conference, “Cooperating and Managing for Sustainable Development” to be held in Paris, 2-5 June 2016.
As such, by organising interdisciplinary international seminars to discuss ideas and research development amongst colleagues form different institutions, we formalized a working method already experienced on an informal basis during 2014 and 2015. On Friday, October 16, 2015, from 10 am to 5 pm we had the first “en attendant Euram “meeting to prepare for the conference Euram Paris, 2016.
